4 May

1, The Kooks

Singer/guitarist Luke, lead guitarist Hugh Harris, bassist Max Rafferty (correction: he is not with the Kooks anymore – Thanks Mimi!) and drummer Paul Garred constitute the Kooks, a British band that is quickly gaining popularity. After the success of 2006’s Inside In/Inside Out (it sold 2 million copies worldwide), The Kooks are back with a new album entitled “KONK” and a new tour (see dates below).

2, Belle & Sebastian

Scottish band Belle & Sebastian have been around since the 90’s but are still heralded as being one of the best Scottish bands around. Little tidbit: their band name comes the children’s book Belle et Sébastien, by French writer Cécile Aubry.

3, Ghosthustler

Denton, TX based indie band Ghosthustler is getting some buzz from their heavily 80’s electro influenced demo.

mp3: Only Me To Trust [Ghosthustler] via missingtoof – worth a listen!

05.14 Vancouver, BC Commodore Ballroom
05.16 Salt Lake City, UT In The Venue

It seems that Atmosphere has surrendered to the unrestrainable piracy rampaging the internet. Download the entire album from their website.
