Mood: Kaleidoscopic

7 Apr

Please wait one moment for your program to begin…

1. The Raveonettes

Danish duo, the Raveonettes, try their hand at contract killing and interior design (a red and tan scheme for the bathroom, yes?)

2. Alexi Murdoch

Alexi Murdoch is a Duke U. educated singer-songwriter from London. He sounds like a more masculine version of Damien Rice. Orange Sky was featured on the OC soundtrack, as well as many other mainstream shows. Also, the title makes me want to eat orange creamsicles.

3. The Dodos

My friend M went to their show last night. Check out her homage.

4. Ladytron

British electo-pop quartet Ladytron is like a gothic looking ABBA on a time-warp to the future. The matching (black) outfits.. 2 girls, 2 boys… all they need is a bad Broadway musical (my mom made me watch it…). But, really, they are a talented group and produce some great songs.

5. Arctic Monkeys

These British monkeys picked up the award for Best British Album and Best British Group at the Brit awards in 2008. Congrats!
